Who Invented Soccer

Soccer: who invented it? An extensive search has been taken by the historians to find out who was the inventor of soccer. But they could not find the name of any single person who could have done so. However, many nations had taken the credit of inventing the game time and again by many various historians. There are many ball games whose traces were found in the history however, they perished very soon without leaving much of the details behind. So who in fact invented soccer? The Europeans? The South Americans? The Chinese or the Japanese? There are many of them out there ready to claim the credit. So now the only thing the historians are left behind with is the speculation.

Some historians believe that it is the Chinese who must be given the acknowledgment for the invention of the game. It is proven in the history that the Chinese used to play a game with the help of a ball which they put in a net. They used to call the game by the name of Tsu Chu. The game used to be played as a part of the celebration of the emperor’s birthday. The game was in fact a part of the training for the soldiers during the Han Dynasty sometime close to the 255BC. However, there is a clash over the time period, as some say it was around 611 A.D.

In Japan as well another form of ball kicking sport was found in the history around the time period of 1004 B.C. The game played in Japan is known as ‘Kemari’, and is just like soccer. Each team included eight players. The ball used in that game was made up of the animal skin and filled with the saw dust. The players prevent the ball from touching the ground. The field used in that game was also rectangular in shape.

Round about 1500 B.C. in Mexico a game was played with the help of a ball in which the players smack the ball with the help of their hips and in an effort to let it go through the stone rings, especially made for the game.

The Eskimos loved to play a game with two teams, having six to seven players at each side, with the help of a ball during the extreme conditions of their pole, when the temperature used to be below minus fifty Celsius.

Along with the question of WHO invented soccer, WHY it was invented also arises all the time. However, there are many answers to the questions. In the Han Dynasty it was played by the soldiers as a form of exercise, which was done in order to ensure the fitness of the players. While in England it was first introduced as a war game in the English’s war against Denmark. At the end of that war the head of the Danish prince was used as a ball by the English soldiers.

The questions, like: who was the inventor of outdoor soccer, who was the inventor of indoor soccer, who invented slime soccer (a popular video game) and what were the reasons of their inventions are sure to remain popular as long as the world lives, as there are hardly any convincing answers for it. Who invented the game of soccer?? Lot of investigation has been taken up by the historians to get the answers of this question.
